The HCAC was honored for its work
Division of Business Opportunities and Development Task Force (Bowd) of the Department of Labor North Carolina (NCDOT) has selected the Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC) as winner of the ally of the year.
The recognition was given through the joint efforts of both organizations to train construction personnel in the field of safety in the workplace, as well as established programs to reach more Hispanic population cHispanic businesses ertificar construction as minorities to this government entity.
Renee Jones, president of HCAC said about it, "It was a great satisfaction to have been appointed as the ally of the year. It is an honor to be recognized by the NCDOT for our training and educational programs for the construction community. "
He added that "the distinction makes it easier for HCAC to extend these programs to cover more Hispanic companies in other regions of the Carolinas. The NCDOT has been a strategic partner for our organization and look forward to working with them for 2012."
